Billy Sheehan

Billy Sheehan

Since the early 1970s, bassist Billy Sheehan has played on scores of records, and toured the world over with such renowned acts as David Lee Roth and Steve Vai. He was a founding member of the hit group Mr. Big, and released several solo albums to critical acclaim. His unique style of modern bass playing — encompassing a range of styles — has been a major influence on young musicians and his contemporaries as well. Billy continues to add to his musical legacy today with his band the Winery Dogs.

“The first single I ever purchased was The Byrds “Eight Miles High”—and I fell in love with the 12 string guitar because of it. Bass is my main instrument, but I write songs mostly on a 12 string guitar—and the slinky smooth sounds of the JangleBox make it such a joy to play and compose with. I have the original large silver-grey version, which I cherish, and also this “red-letter” more compact and refined version. JangleBox compressors are some of the most unique, useful, and pleasing devices I’ve ever played through—my thanks to this company for creating such a wonderful device!”
