as author of Beatles Gear, his critically heralded book, that he’s

The Chesterfield
Kings have been using 12-string Rickenbacker guitars live and
on recordings for years. In the studio we’ve used compressors
and treble boost to enhance the electric 12-string, but to
me it never sounded quite right. I plugged my Rickenbacker
12-string into a JangleBox and instantly heard the tone I was
always looking for… it’s like the Byrds and the
